Just left Far Cry 6, but obviously, Ubisoft is already thinking about the future of the franchise and apparently, the next title of this saga could become one of those infamous games as service. According to a report from a reliable insider, the French publisher is considering carrying this franchise to a totally different concept than we already know.
According to Jeff Grubs, The following Far Cry will be a game as a service and will follow a similar model that we will see with Assassin s Creed Infinity:
Dan there was monitoring the following Far Cry, which will be a Live-Service project similar to Assassin s Creed Infinity.
In case you were not aware, DAN there was one of the most important executives within Ubisoft, especially for the Far Cry franchise, and who today decided to leave the company behind.
In the past grubs has proven to be a reliable source for this type of rumors, but due to the recent launch of Far Cry 6, is very likely that we will not have many details about the next game of the saga soon.
Editor s note: This address that Ubisoft is taking with your future projects I do not like anything. Simply see what happened to Marvel s Avengers to understand that games as a service do not always have the best reception out there, and I think the ideal would be to continue with this line of games focused on a single player.
