Mafia Definitive Edition has refounded Thomas Angelo and other main characters for incoming remake, part of the mafiale_trilogy.
The game comes out on August 28 and offers, in addition to a redesigned gameplay, new cinematics and dialogues exploring more history and original themes.
As revealed by the developer Hangar 13, "we sought actors who not only sounded the game, but gave the part and could play both on the motion capture scene and in the VO cab. "
Since "the voice of no one does not remain the same, especially after such a long period of time," the team knew that she had to change something when it was to select the actors who would have worked on the new content.
Thomas Angelo will be different and will feel different as a new actor, Italo-Australian Andrew Bongiorno, who offered his voice, resemblance and performance capture for the role.
Bongiorno is known for his work on television series true nightmares and ben affleck _vive the night.
It was chosen because it is "credible both as a gangster and a family man" and "could also convey his very human weaknesses" to a character who chooses to be a gangster for specific reasons that are explained. along the game, not just for fun.
Although the fact that the original actor is not part of the distribution could disappoint long-time fans, it should add a new element that could make definitive edition_ even more interesting after so many years.
Mafia II and III definitive editions are simple remasters and goty versions, but the definitive editing of the original game should be a complete remake.
